Charity Art Show – Raveningham Hall, Norwich, 28th & 29th September

Continuing their year-long celebrations in support of the RNLI’s 200th anniversary, The Great Yarmouth & Gorleston RNLI Fundraising Guild invites you to join them at their next event on Saturday, September 28th & Sunday, September 29th, 2024, at The Barn, Raveningham Hall, Norwich, NR14 6NW. The event is taking place at The Barn, with the kind permission of Sir Nicholas Bacon and his family.

The Art Show will feature over 20 well-known, established professional local artists from the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists and the Southwold Art Circle. The work on display will include all subjects and mediums, plus there will be two sculptors taking part in the two-day show. The show will be open on both days, from 10am until 4pm. Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend.

The show will also be a posthumous tribute and acknowledgement of the late artist Russell Foster, Russ sadly died recently at the age of 96. Russ was an inspirational character and the enthusiastic founder of the artist group; he was also a great supporter of the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston RNLI, having launched the art group’s support of the Guild through local Art Exhibitions.

The RNLI has been saving lives at sea around the UK and Ireland for 200 years, since the charity was founded in 1824.

Throughout 2024, the RNLI is celebrating this milestone 200th year of lifesaving by hosting many special events. Our art show is just one of those special events, and we look forward to welcoming you.
