Opening as part of the National Gardens Scheme, visit this beautiful informal garden with new haha creating infinity views across ancient parkland. Strong Mediterranean influence with plenty of seating in large paved courtyard under pollarded plane trees. Unusual wall-sheltered group of four venerably gnarled olive trees, figs and vines, then herbaceous borders, tiered lawns merging northwards into woodland garden. Walks through parkland to the River Tas – serene.
Admission £6 adult in aid of NGS supported charities.
Teas and cakes served from the veranda overlooking the lawns and parkland.
