Wymondham Bridewell (1785) was a model prison based on the ideas of prison reformer John Howard.
Learn about the history of the building from prison to police station to the courthouse and the stories of the people who worked and lived there.
See the recreated dungeon. Handle the ankle chains worn by the prisoners.

Find out the story of Kett’s Rebellion 1549.
