Tristan Ashby has a great passion for music covering a number of genres and decades and is always on the lookout to discover and rediscover new music to add to his show.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s when music was arguably at its best creating genuine rock and pop legends has left Tristan with a thirst to share his musical taste with listeners and welcomes audience interaction with dedications, requests, local info and especially jokes!
Tristan has a long history of putting himself forward to help with community activities and projects. He was a local firefighter in his hometown of Attleborough for eight years, Chair of Governors at the local primary school for eight years, a town councillor, a district councillor and an FA qualified coach for youth football at both Morley and Rocklands.
‘I hope people enjoy listening to The Thursday Night Club as much as I do making it, it’s been something I’ve wanted to do since I was a boy, when I used to make up my own shows using a tape-deck, record player and microphone. I only wish I’d had the courage to give it a go sooner. If there is anyone out there reading this who ever thought about presenting their own radio show, I would strongly encourage you to contact South Norfolk Radio to find out more, it’s a great experience and is addictive.’
