It’s time for your requests – Junior Choice is back!

Christmas is coming and so is ‘Junior Choice’ on South Norfolk Radio!

“Christmas is a time for families and nostalgia and we’re looking for your special seasonal greetings and dedications to friends, family and loved ones that you may not be able to see this year for our annual edition of ‘Junior Choice‘ on Christmas morning” says SNR’s  regular #Breakfast Briefing host David Mann.

“I’m happy to be presenting our special local annual Christmas morning revival of ‘Junior Choice’ for the sixth time this year.” says David. “It’s become a bit of a Christmas highlight for me, especially as I’m old enough to remember hearing ‘Junior Choice’ every weekend on national radio the first time around, and even its predecessor ‘Children’s Favourites’, presented by ‘Uncle Mac’.

“We’ll be playing a sprinkling of seasonal hits, old and new, and there’ll be fondly remembered songs from Christmases past with a list of special treats” explains David. “Expect to hear from Ernie the Milkman, Captain Beaky and his Band and ‘My Bruvver’. There’ll be a boomerang that won’t come back and also the story of an ugly duckling amongst many others. And there could be a Postman, trains, some Star Trekkin’ and even a baby shark maybe. Plus of course, we’ll be playing some listener requests and we’ll include as many dedications as we can fit in!”.

And remember that because South Norfolk Radio is an internet radio station, it can be heard all round the world, so if you have friends and relatives abroad, they can listen in and have a dedication too! And if time-zones make it diifficult for them to listen in live, then they can even catch the show afterwards on our own South Norfolk Radio Mixcloud channel.

Send your ‘Junior Choice’ dedications and requests to david@snradio.uk, at the latest by 6.00pm on Saturday 23rd December – and don’t forget to include your own name and general location details too. You could even record your own short message on your phone and email that over to us to play out on the air during the show.
