South Norfolk Radio is a community radio station, operated by a not-for-profit community interest company, entirely for the benefit of the South Norfolk community, rather than for individual owners or shareholders. The station is run by an awesome team of enthusiastic volunteers who give up their time and resources for free to keep the station running, and keep the music playing!

“We dont have any staff to pay but, like everyone else, we do have monthly running costs covering a wide range of areas, not least of which are our statutory music licensing fees” says Station Manager Anthony Woods. “The cash from these fees filters back to the artists and writers who make the music that you listen to on our station and that we all enjoy every day. And then of course we have all the normal day to day business running costs too such as premises, energy, IT systems and broadband etc. and it certainly mounts up”  says Anthony. “We are fortunate to have such an enthusiastic group of people who have devoted such a huge amount of time and energy to keeping us on the air so far, but we’re expanding our horizons and now want to involve local business for mutual benefit”.

Anthony continues “In order to keep us on-air, having established our credentials and been broadcasting since 2018, we are now seeking businesses who would like to advertise on the station from just £50 a month, with a potential reach of 40,000 people per month. If you or anyone you know may be interested in working with us and having a professionally produced radio advertisement played regularly on SN Radio, or even sponsoring a show, please do get in touch – we’d love to work with you” he says.
