South Norfolk Radio, your local Community Radio Station will be playing a central role in this year’s Wynterfest celebrations in Wymondham. Wynterfest will bring an afternoon of festive fun to the town on Sunday 5th December, all planned by volunteers, local retailers, volunteer organisations and members of the Town Team.
“We’ve been invited once again to provide the music and the public address facilities for the event in the town centre” says Anthony Woods, South Norfolk Radio’s Station Manager. “Its a great way for us to meet to members of the community and for them to see what we do. And we’ll be providing that all -important Christmas music soundtrack to the afternoon too of course, along with some live music performances as well, and we’ll also be broadcasting the event live on air on Sunday afternoon” says Anthony.
Anthony continues “I know already that some of the local traders are planning on dispensing mulled wine and mince pies, and there’ll be a whole host of stalls along Wymondham’s main street, with many retailers opening specially for the event, so there’ll be plenty to do” he says. “And as well as the Christmas lights, there’ll be some donkeys for the children to see and the Wymondham Alpacas will be there, and Santa will be in his Grotto too!”
South Norfolk Radio’s volunteers are really looking forward to seeing everyone at the event. So come and say hello, and you could even leave us a music request too!
