An episode of the classic radio crime drama that first aired on NBC in America no less than 75  Christmases ago!

Joe Friday and his partner Ben Romero work to solve one of the most heartbreaking cases in Dragnet‘s history. It’s a Christmas chronicle, Dragnet-style, and there’s a bonus moral twist at the end for all parents wanting to buy their kids a gun for Christmas.

Created by and starring Jack Webb, Dragnet ran on the radio from 1949 to 1957, meanwhile also having become a popular television series, followed by a movie franchise. The series was  also of course the inspiration for the classic tv comedy series ‘Police Squad’ and the ‘Naked Gun’ films.
